At age 23, Martine Vaugel’s first commission, in 1973, was to produce a desktop version of the Seal of the City of Albany for New York Governor, Nelson A. Rockefeller.
The photocopy here is the only image of the original sculpture -of a Frontiersman, and a Native American man seated under the Mayflower.
