I certify that Martine Vaugel is an artist of great talent who sculpted a bronze fountain representing a child in the center of a basin for the Chateau de Brissac (Monument Historique of Maine et Loire - 49 -). This sculpture is now part of the collections of works of art that are presented to the 40,000 annual visitors of the Chateau. Their public are unanimously enthusiastic. The presence in Anjou of Madame Vaugel will certainly contribute to the cultural and artistic influence of the Pays de la Loire Region

Sir Roger Moore Portrait commissioned by Castel, Brazil of Sir Rodger Moore, sculpted in the Chateau Brissac France in 2000.

In 2000 Martine Vaugel was commissioned to sculpt a portrait of Sir Roger Moore by the Marquis de Brissac for the Brazilian news corporation Castel. It was a most joyful occasion, sculpting in the Portrait Gallery of the Brissac Chateau amid the ancestors of the family, as Sir Roger Moore told stories and sang during the sittings, to the amazement of all present.

At age 23, Martine Vaugel’s first commission, in 1973, was to produce a desktop version of the Seal of the City of Albany for New York Governor, Nelson A. Rockefeller.

The photocopy here is the only image of the original sculpture -of a Frontiersman, and a Native American man seated under the Mayflower.

The Zeiderman Collection is a truly wonderful collection in Garrison New York where several Vaugel sculptures have the honor to be displayed among many great artists, Picasso, Rauschenberg, Francis Bacon, and Rodin, to name a few. In 2003 she was commissioned by Lloyd and Lisa Zeiderman to sculpt a life-size full body portrait of their daughter Montana, pictured here.

In 1999 the New Replacement Hospital at UCLA purchase the bust of Richard the Lion Heart from Martine Vaugel for placement in the new I.M.Pei designed Hospital in Los Angeles California
